September 25, 2015 Card of the Day – Racoon

card 41 racoon 1122

Okay so it is time to take the mask off. Today it is about not hiding from yourself or others. Time to own it and take back your own power so to speak. WE need to stop letting others expectations of us take hold and stopping us from being who we really are. As individuals we must learn that we are all different and unique from each other, meaning we need to stop and figure out just what our souls are trying to say to us… and then listen to that voice and be the person we are meant to be. Not what someone else thinks we need to be, do, say, act… It’s about taking your voice, your spirit back and being in control of it, allowing the positives to push you through the muck and negatives.

If we stop and think about it, there are days it is hard enough to be us…let alone being someone that others want us to be. So step into you, reclaim you… revel in you… BE YOU… and stop walking on the eggshells that others place on your path.

Racoon
Raccoon teaches us to re-connect with our inner warrior, to become both provider and protector for ourselves and possibly others within our Sacred Hoop. However while assisting others, Raccoon teaches us that we must in this process, learn to do this in a way that does not make those you are helping become dependent on your help.

When dealing with issues the Raccoon leaves no stone unturned. Patiently and diligently seek the solution by taking the time needed to observe the whole picture, both the seen and the unseen to find a positive solution.

Raccoon are also the masters of curiosity, adaptability, resourcefulness, masks or illusion. They also speak of hiding behind and not being open an honest with your self. Learn to be more open and accept the gifts being offered to you right now by the universe.

Be more versatile and watch for opportunity by being more aware of your surroundings and what is happening in and around your own Sacred Hoop. Raccoon teaches us that as human we wear many masks in life and sometimes feel the need to hide our true self as protection or to hide from the reality of a situation. Just remember it is okay to do that for a short time, but do not get lost behind that mask, for we all have purpose, we all have meaning in this walk we are on.

September 21, 2015 Card of the Day – Eagle

card 32 Eagle 1122
Oh creator as I stand humbly in front of you I ask that you hear our prayers as they are raised upon my Brother Eagles Wings and touch your cheek in the sky. Bring us the strength to be better Humans and to embrace the light of our souls. Aho ~ bear Medicinewalker

Eagle speaks to us of our spiritual paths. I have been taught that the Eagle can fly to the heavens, that its wings can be touched by God Creator. When in it’s presence I feel the Grace of the Creator and All that is Sacred. The Eagle humbles me.

Teaching us to reflect and pause, to rejoice and reconnect to our spirits. To honor our paths, the ethics we have been taught. To Pray, to honor to live in a sacred manner. To listen to our Ancestors that have walked before us and in doing so listen to the wisdoms that have been shared so that we can walk more positive paths. Eagles the symbol of Courage and strength, to do … to walk… the right manner. To take that courage and step into what you re meant to step to in a positive way, and allowing our spirits to soar to the heights to share in God Creator’s extended grace.

Eagles with their sharp eyesight take us to the heights to observe situations in a manner that is more beneficial for us to make clear decisions. To become that visionary and push ourselves to discover and accept self, to accept truths, adapting , changing and growing along the way.

The medicine Eagle shares is, the ability to connect to the Divine, a power of God Creator. Being able to place one foot into the spirit realm and yet remain connected and balanced with Mother Earth.

So Honor your Spirit today and everyday by connecting with the Sacredness around you!

September 17, 2015 Card of the Day – Hawk

card 47b redtail hawk 1122
I was awoken today out of a deep meditation by a Grandmother Yelling and shaking me…. “a Hawk, a Hawk, a HAWKKKKKkkkkkk!!!!” she yelled, and I was then swooped and coup was counted on my head by my Brother of the Winged Ones… the Hawk. And so it is that Today is about honoring the Sacred. we are plowing through life and we often forget to stop and just breathe in all that is, honoring all the Directions, all of Creation, our Ancestors and stopping to speak with the Creator. Today is the day to move into a conscious space of doing just that, it is the day of Spiritual Awareness and Connection. So with that said awaken your souls and listen to the guidance of this sacred Winged One…and allow Hawk to assist your souls to sing and be.

Red Tail Hawk shows up to help us understand the meaning in ordinary experiences if open and become aware of our surroundings. The Red Tail Hawk is awakening our souls so that we may begin the journey of our spirituality, preparing us for those Life Lessons that will soon show up.

Red Tail Hawks are messengers of the between, sharing insights and knowledge extended to us from the Ancestors and the world of Spirit. They speak to us of looking from a different vantage point and thus giving us a broader view of any given situation, helping us to not only be aware that a message awaits us, but also helping us to understand those messages.

Red Tailed Hawks are sacred and as they enter our presence, we must honor them by opening our minds and keeping them sharp while we look for wisdom and answers as we walk the human.

The Red Tailed Hawk’s red tail feathers distinguish it from other hawks, and remember that it does not receive their red feathers until at a later point in life after it has matured and experienced life around it. These feathers must be earned. The color Red represents Power and Energy that will lie dormant until it is awakened by our Souls as they walk and journey life and honor its own Sacred Hoop.

September 16, 2015 Card of the Day – Spider

card 16 spider 1122

So as I awoke this morning, Grandmother Spider continued her work and placed a soft woven cloth of silk around my shoulders, sharing with me today is the day to immerse ourselves in our Dreams in a way that brings them into sharper focus, and sets them on a path of strengthening our realities no matter what those dreams are sharing and bring them about in positives!

We are in a place of being guided, a place of support from the Universe and beyond…but we need to awaken ourselves to a place of understanding what it is we need to do in order to embrace it all.  Positives are at our fingertips, Happiness, Joy, Love and more important Balance is at our fingertips… but we must remember to attract them by sharing the same with the Great Sacred Hoop and in turn causing our own Sacred Hoop to circle us in balance and goodness.

So as you go about your day today, and a Spider lands on your path… remember it is sharing affirmation of your dreams and beyond!

Spider teaches us about hard work, creativity and releasing ourselves from what binds us. They show us that we are the creators of our own life, our own Sacred Hoops and that like the Spider we too spin intricate webs in our life stories. So as the Spider is a masterful weaver of its web, we too must become masters of weaving strong paths in our own lives.

Spider also whispers to each of us to be careful not to get caught in the webs of shadow, greed, and negativity. When this occurs it is time to release and begin anew. Do not stay trapped, for you are in charge of your own reality, it is up to you to take charge and move in the right direction. That we must create our own path in life, and learn to be a part of the whole as we walk the human, for all things are connected, we are all one.

“The webs of our lives are all connected to the web of all that is,”
Grandmother Spider shares with us, “Our individual webs are made up of stories, beliefs and our emotions that make their way out to the universe. Listen to the word “story” for to store within ourselves is a function of the story. If we believe the stories we tell ourselves our very core within our souls will vibrate in that belief and create your web from that vibration. The Universe will support our stories, just to prove to us that we are creators. So step wisely, spin positives, and create a strong Sacred Hoop”

So, the question today is simple, what have we decided to create?

“Some human stories have served you,” Grandmother Spider shares, “and others have not. It is now time to clear your webs of those stories that have not. When you do so, you make space for new stories ones that will reflect your true nature, your soul’s light and your connection to all that is. “

September 15, 2015 Card of the Day – Elk

card 10 Elk 1122
So as I sat outside and Father Sun rose to his glory….I kept hearing the song Wade in the Water…You don’t believe I’ve been redeemed,
Wade in the water… by Eva Cassidy… and I thought yup I get it…and then the card that shows up today, the Elk!

So lets embrace a little Faith today in ourselves, in the ability of positives to rise to the surface and outshine the negativity of the world, even if that simply happens in our own little corner of it… and have a LITTLE FAITH! Creator hears us, and the Ancestors and “Spirit” are assisting us as we walk this crazy world we live in. Sure there will be ups and downs, the terrain of life is not easy, not simple, not plain… it is exciting and bold, it is brash and wild, it is beautiful in all it brings to our doors for us to experience…

Elk brings in the energy that is needed to slow down and pace ourselves. It’s all about seeing the goal and reaching it without killing ourselves and depleting our energy in the process. Elk helps us to understand that we do not have to do it alone and that companionship and group support are available we just have to ask.

Elk signifies abundance and is a sign that all we need will be provided for. To remember that we do not need to rush, for sometimes the reward is in the journey itself. .

Elk symbolizes strength and endurance. It teaches us to spend more time with our families and friends. Elk are also very seldom alone, preferring to live in large herds, yet knowing when they need to have some personal space. They are very well prepared to take on a challenge, they can fight passionately about what is important to them, sometimes can be unpredictable being passive one second and aggressive the next, it is their nature.

Believe in yourself…Empower Yourself…Connect with those you love and hold a good sense of Community… and your goals will be met with positive outcome.

Have an Amazing day wading in the life experiences that are thrown in front of you today!

September 14, 2015 Card of the Day – Seahorse

card 34 b seahorse2

Nurturing… the first thing that shouted at me this morning is a sense of nurturing and duty. The Seahorse is so delicate and yet so fierce with its protection and care of its family and young. So Today they are shouting to nurture yourselves and be fierce in the way you walk through the hours and moments of your day… surrender to the flow that carries you to the new and amazing places in life, but as you do…make sure you are mindful of those little places that we can get stuck in if we are not careful. It is time to be both Sensitive to needs of self and others, yet at the same time show strength in how you participate in life by making positive motions that take care of the framework of our souls.

Happy Monday Ya’ll!

Card of the Day – Seahorse

Seahorse brings for us lessons in persistence as we move towards our goals. Leave our stubbornness at the door and all things will move much smoother with our inner circles. It is time to take a closer look at things and get a fresh view of all things in your Sacred Hoop, physically, emotionally, spiritually for something has been out of balance and it is time to reset with purpose and unconditional.

Seahorse also speaks of serving others and caring for their needs, but while we are in that role we must not forget to nurture self as well. Slow down and do not over exert yourself for that will not assist in anything or anyone if you are too tired and/or worn out. Our purpose is not to serve others and loose ourselves in the process; it is about the Sacred balance.

Life is all about perspective and we must remember to approach with open eyes, mind and soul to stay balanced within the positives. Seahorses teach us how to move in and out of situations seamlessly, teaching us how to move through the currents of life and emotion and stay in a healthy state while doing so.

Be Bold! Adapt when the situation calls for it! Be colorful and enjoy Life! most importantly allow your souls to flow with the energy and waves of life around you allowing it to feed your spirit!

Sacred Plant Medicines as shared by bear Medicinewalker

Sacred Plant Medicines as shared by bear Medicinewalker

If you would take a moment to stop and just think a second to realize how plants interact with all of our lives. They hold deep within them and are often willing to share knowledge with us easily and quickly, at other times not so much. They are around us and vibrantly position themselves within our human world to give and give whatever it is we need.

Think about it, there is a plant that holds every cure, every need for us humans on the planet, we only need to appreciate that … stop destroying the forests and trees … and embrace the idea of it.

Walk the world we live in and understand that there are plants that share themselves in order for us to use their smoke for prayers and cleansing. This is part of our Sacred Spiritual Walks. I am asked all the time about rituals and ceremony, yet people do not open to what is already in place, the steps that we need to follow to honor and respect what has been shared with us by the Great Mother Earth.

When we burn some of these plants the aroma produced will assist us to travel to a different state of mind and allowing us to enter into a deeper part of our souls. The very scents they share can inspire and awaken us to help guide us as we walk the human. Smudging with sacred sage and herbs as well as smoking sacred tobacco are two of the ways I implement and honor the plant world in my own walk. We use smudging to remove negative energy to bring rise to visions, clearing sacred space and opening our soul so that we are open to knowledge that the Ancestors wish to share and the healing energies we call for to be used for positives as we journey upon this world. It is best to smudge after sessions of healing work when we come in contact with any negative energy, removing any negative energy that may hang on or linger. This is much like disinfecting a room or place after an illness.

Tobacco is used for the rising smoke from our pipes to carry Prayers to the Ancestors and the Creator, also for honoring events in our lives and placing them in prayer ties, a pinch for a prayer or offering for a soul that is transitioning or traveling, including the many creatures we may come across that have passed.

Plants and herbs are found on all continents, the being in the types of plants and herbs that grow and are found to be indigenous in the various regions. All of Creation is sacred and has purpose. Using what is shared with us by the Plant People and the Creature world and using them with positive purpose is to honor and respect their life. All of the Plant People carry their own medicine which they happily share with us if we will but listen.

If they decide that they will work with you, they will share all about themselves, what their uses are and how to use them in positive ways that will not only help yourself but others as well. The Plant People hold the knowledge of the cures for disease. The more that are destroyed on the planet, the more information to that knowledge slips out of our reach.

Remember to always thank the plant that has honored you with its medicine by leaving an offering of tobacco anytime you take something from the natural world. This will acknowledge to the Plant People, the Ancestors and the Creator that you are indeed sincere about the use and knowledge that you seek from them and that you are working with them for spiritual purposes.

The Creator has put all we need to survive and walk our paths here on this planet, so we need to recognize that nature is also living sacred beings. Show gentleness, be respectful, and honor all life as Sacred. There is a Native tradition that I honor of walking by seven plants before picking anything. In this way, we leave enough for the next 7 generations, also by replanting what you have picked to ensure that tradition.

The four sacred herbs represent the Four Directions they are: Cedar, Sage, Tobacco, and Sweet grass. They are used in smudging, cleansing, and for prayers to connect us with our Spiritual selves. Each contain and share their own medicines.

Sweet grass is the sacred herb of the North, a purifying herb used to cleanse the mind, body, and spirit.

Cedar is the sacred herb of the South; it purifies as well as pulls positive energy into your sacred space.

Tobacco is the sacred herb of the East, the direction of Grandfather Sun, Eagle, and the Creator. We send our prayers up in its smoke, and Eagle takes them to the Creator.

Sage is the sacred herb of the West, used in smudging to purify, and to send prayers to the Creator.

At times we will be called to use specific herbs or plants, and when this happens, we must honor that request, for the plant is speaking to us for a reason, and it usually refers to what we are experiencing in our journey at that time.
