Spiritual and Totem Insights for the Day the Eagle

So today Eagle shows up to tell us to enjoy the day and all that it has to offer! Celebrate life, let the sunlight or moonlight dance across your face and feel the joy in it! Be thankful for what you have instead of what you do not.

Life always throws us challenges, it is up to us to send our souls soaring like the Eagle to touch the face of the Creator and all that is offered to us so that we can meet our full potential. Eagle asks us why shouldn’t we, for each of us are equals, no one better than the other. So make the most of today and live a little, pray a little, be thankful a little and be joyous for the life that surrounds us with wonders and beauty!

Eagle a strong symbol of All that is Sacred, and reminder that we too can fly high and feel the breath of the Creator if we honor the process. We must understand that each and every act we do, each word we say, each look we make can move mountains or set up walls. We can be the strength that is needed to protect, the example needed to inspire or the calm that settles a storm. But we must honor the process. There is no easy button to push, no simple way to get things done for it all requires work in order to achieve the outcome we desire. So remember to feed the positives, weed out the negativity from your life and allow ourselves to be able to feel the Creators love upon each of us.

Eagle reminds us all that we need to care for our Spiritual needs. That the very part of who we are and walk as begins with our Spiritual side and how we connect to the Creator and all that is Sacred. Our soul’s Light, our energy, our very foundation is all about how we feed our soul. How and what we choose as we walk our paths will then mirror out to the world and invite the same to surround us.

We must remember the foundations of Humanity… Love, Respect, Wisdom, Humility, Truth, Honesty and Courage… in order to be strong and stand in a balanced and good way. We must overcome the blindness of society and the negatives they spin. This is what Eagle shares today… this is what he reminds us to do.

So today fly high and touch the face of Creator… stand in Integrity and Truths, and stand with All that is Sacred, all that Matters… with Love and Respect that we are meant to as Human.

Eagle speaks to us of our spiritual paths. I have been taught that the Eagle can fly to the heavens, that its wings can be touched by God Creator. When in it’s presence I feel the Grace of the Creator and All that is Sacred. The Eagle humbles me.

Teaching us to reflect and pause, to rejoice and reconnect to our spirits. To honor our paths, the ethics we have been taught. To Pray, to honor to live in a sacred manner. To listen to our Ancestors that have walked before us and in doing so listen to the wisdom that has been shared so that we can walk more positive paths. Eagles the symbol of Courage and strength, to do … to walk… the right manner. To take that courage and step into what you re meant to step to in a positive way, and allowing our spirits to soar to the heights to share in God Creator’s extended grace.

Eagles with their sharp eyesight take us to the heights to observe situations in a manner that is more beneficial for us to make clear decisions. To become that visionary and push ourselves to discover and accept self, to accept truths, adapting , changing and growing along the way.

The medicine Eagle shares is, the ability to connect to the Divine, a power of God Creator. Being able to place one foot into the spirit realm and yet remain connected and balanced with Mother Earth.

So Honor your Spirit today and everyday by connecting with the Sacredness around you!

Spiritual and Totem Insights for the Day … the Wolf

So Wolf stops in today in the 7th spot to teach us that even though we are faced with so many negatives around us, it is up to us to react in ways that are positive and cause positive changes and reactions. So much hate and violence around us …fueled by words of hate! We must stop ourselves from fanning those flames and instead share understanding and calmness as balm to help healing to happen,

For if we don’t, we will continue to walk the path of the dark Wolf… and negativity will become our new normal… We must learn compassion and understanding of each other in order to co-exist. We are ALL Human Beings with value.

Wolf teaches us that although it is often difficult to see the value of things that cause us pain, regret and anger… it is in those very things that we learn from in order to make better choices in the future. Those bumps in the road make us stronger for getting through them all, but there is a limit to how long we allow ourselves to carry it all forward as it hinders our growth. So today let it all go and be in the moment of saying goodbye to all those things that have held us back! Be free of it so you can create new things, more positive things for yourself!

Wolf reminds us to sense what is important in our life circle and allow that to shore us up against negativity and the thoughtlessness of others. Be caring and nurturing with your energy and life source today… as it is an important key to how we need to walk and be.

Wolf reminds us that it is far to easy to shelter ourselves or do what I call self isolation, but sometimes by doing so we miss out on some amazing things and people. So enrich your souls today and expand your reach by including some of what life is offering us all outside of our circle.

Wolf has been a spiritual and totem animal in the religions of many cultures. Wolves represent the symbol of freedom and individuality, yet also remind us we have a responsibility to the pack. Some religious beliefs attribute the creation of the earth in part to the Wolf.  It was believed that the power of a Wolf would could help with the success of a hunt, bring a chief’s dead son to life or alleviate the pain of childbirth.  The People and the wolf are part of each other.

Wolf and its medicine live harmoniously with us…they will hunt together, live together and their spirits are one.  Wolf  represents courage, strength, loyalty, wisdom and teacher of balance. Some of the stories that have been passed down often tell of the first ancestors being transformed from wolves into Human.

Whatever they represent to each of us may be different, but the one thing I hold as truth is they are our teachers, our sisters and brothers… not something that should be controlled or hunted. They only take what is needed, they stay away from humans unless provoked…and we have taken all that is theirs when they and many like them have openly shared with us all. It is time for us all to raise our voice in protection of this magnificent animal and others like it…

Wolf is a very organized creature. It understands there is need for order and balance for harmony to occur with our Sacred Hoops. Wolf is regarded as one of the most powerful spirit guides of all for it represents teacher and lessons to be learned and shared with self. It speaks to us to seek counsel from people that you respect. To take a moment to step back and look for the true meaning from the issue you face. By doing so, you will be able to walk clearly ahead and do what needs to be done with the knowledge you can see it all clearly.

Although many think the sight of a Lone Wolf means freedom it actually does not.  It instead represents that it is a time to look deep in oneself and find the balance that is needed in your own life that is lacking. For the wolf is meant to be in packs, in a community, in a family, with its mate. The times you see wolves on their own or isolated is do to unbalance that needs to reground and once again be in the circle of the Sacred Hoop.

The Wolf cry reminds us to stand our ground, remember we all need boundaries. It is about communication, answering the call and listening to the response. The Wolf an assist us to open and listen to the sound of others in order to understand better the situation. It is about having the strength of the pack, and your closest friends with you when you need them without questions.

Wolf is strongly connected to lunar cycles, so learn to move with that cycle and honor it in order to be at your best. They teach us to weed out what is the weakest and no longer serves us, so that new and better things will come our way.

Spiritual and Totem Insights For today the Elk

So we have arrived… tonight is the Lunar Eclipse! The 7th card today is the mighty and graceful Elk. Wade deep into the waters today as you cross through the rivers of life. The Elk teaches us today to wash away the things that are holding you back. Why are we continuing to hold onto them, they were lessons and we are not meant to continue to carry them as anything more than that. learn from them to better ourselves and how we approach our paths.

Elk teaches us to keep friends, family and things that are meaningful to us close… but in healthy ways. We are not meant to walk alone but in a celebration of community! So let your hair down today and be who you are and don’t be afraid of people seeing you as you are… for as Elk tells us we are all important pieces to the great quilt of life.

Elk brings in the energy that is needed to slow down and pace ourselves. It’s all about seeing the goal and reaching it without killing ourselves and depleting our energy in the process. Elk helps us to understand that we do not have to do it alone and that companionship and group support are available we just have to ask. Elk signifies abundance and is a sign that all we need will be provided for. To remember that we do not need to rush, for sometimes the reward is in the journey itself. .

Elk symbolizes strength and endurance. It teaches us to spend more time with our families and friends. Elk are also very seldom alone, preferring to live in large herds, yet knowing when they need to have some personal space. They are very well prepared to take on a challenge, they can fight passionately about what is important to them, sometimes can be unpredictable being passive one second and aggressive the next, it is their nature.

Believe in yourself…Empower Yourself…Connect with those you love and hold a good sense of Community… and your goals will be met with positive outcome.

Spiritual and Totem Insights for the Day the Butterfly

Well today as the Lunar Eclipse fast approaches Butterfly shows up in the 7th spot and shares with us that we need to work hard to push through what is needed for the upcoming week. In order for us to have growth we need to remember that not everything is light and breezy, but rather we need to understand we are equipped for whatever appears on our paths.

Butterfly also tells us that like it’s delicate wings, we need too to take a moment and rest and enjoy the moments that comprise our days. Allow ourselves to rest when needed, and spend energy to lift ourselves to ride the currents of life, remembering they all aren’t bad… just remain positive with our self!

Butterfly is all about change and bursting into life, to experience ALL the beauty of it. But stop for a moment and know we can not do that if we stay emotionally, physically, spiritually in relationships that are not healthy. Perhaps we need to seek new opportunities for different things to enter or Sacred Hoops, our Lives. Perhaps when we do we may even find that niche` or even new relationships with new people that will enrich and  provide better growth encouraging us to experience new and wonderful things.

The Butterfly is connected to the elemental Air. It represents to many cultures the story of Transformation. It teaches us how to shift, change and move with whatever life brings to our paths. This helps us to learn how to work through events and situations that we encounter in our lives so that we can move through changes in what appears to be effortless with grace allowing our Sacred Hoops to come into and stay balanced.

Butterfly shares with us the gift of understanding that we all have purpose, we are all part of a grander plan, that we all exist to complete the balance needed in the world we live in. Without each of us inputting our energies, our purposes… other things would not come to fruition. Such as the pollen that is collected when they land in a grouping of flowers, when they move from place to place they assist the species in continuing to exist. We too are much like the Butterfly, for without each of us to contribute our efforts, our knowledge sharing it with our young people, with each other… ideas and cultures would eventually cease to exist.

Butterfly teaches us that we need to quiet our minds to hear the echoes of our souls, to look around you and appreciate all that is Sacred. Teachings are also about how we move through our lives transforming and constantly changing. As we are seeded into the womb where we begin our earth journeys growing and nurturing to prepare to enter the world, we are much like the Butterfly in the cocoon until we emerge slowly transforming into what and who we are to become.

Throughout our lives this occurs as we move through the changes in our life. So don’t fight the changes, rather honor the process of it as your Soul grows and expands into all that it can be… the beautiful soul that is an intricate part of the Human Race.

So today take time and honor who you are, remembering that you and all that you are is meant to be for a purpose and wonderful reason…. Take a moment to breathe, take a moment to revel in becoming understanding that you are important to all life!

Spiritual and Totem Insights of the Day the Lizard

The Lizard steps into the 7th space today to tell us to simply try and blend in! Life will be a bit chaotic around all of us so rather than engage in the chaos, spend some time with self… nurturing your soul and taking a breather.

If you are at work Lizard suggests that we all try not to engage in the drama that may occur around us. Blend in…Blend in…Blend in… and life will be much simpler. Focus on the tasks at hand. Or better yet go off to a quiet corner on your lunch our and catch up on a great book, take a walk outside to enjoy the day… but do it within your own comfortable confines and boundaries that you set up.

Lizard steps up to share with us that we may be repeating old cycles, recreating things because we have been doing them so long, it feels more natural that stepping into something new or opening the doors to something that is unknown. It tells us although we are able to face our fears, we often do not want to deal with them.

Lizard also shares truths about “EGO”, that often as human we are ruled by it. So what may be needed at the moment is to take a step back and let out hearts take over. Our “EGO” is often all to ready to step in and rule, so take time to really look deep within what is resonating with our hearts before making decisions or saying something we may regret.

Lizard shares that we are able to use all our “senses” as they were given to us at birth, rely on them, hone them and watch for situations that may not serve us and then remove ourselves from them or to step into the positive ones we need to move with. It is time to awaken what lies beneath, the unconscious mind that has been hiding things we have not wanted to deal with.

Lizard will allow us to move them to the forefront so we can process through them and get rid of what is no longer needed and place us back to reality. We are all human, we are all flawed and the Lizard teaches us it is ok to be this way. Release as they release a tail, what needs to be let go, then move ahead and regrow in more positive ways.

“For my 60th birthday, Portia surprised me with the most incredible birthday gift I’ve ever received: A campus with my name on it at The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. The campus will help continue Dian’s work to protect and study endangered mountain gorillas. Gorillas are amazing animals. I found out that gorillas and humans share 98 percent of the same DNA. But the thing that’s most amazing about gorillas is how compassionate they are. And here’s the sad part. They’re one of the most endangered animals in the world.

Spiritual and Totem Insights for the Day, the Turtle

Turtle stops in today in the 7th place to share we need to remember to be kind to ourselves. If we feel emotions …honor them and take time to process through them no matter what they may be. Make space in your day so that they are not overlooked. Because what they are matters to who we are as humans.

Turtle teaches us as one of the 7 Grandfather Teachings to honor our Truths… to remember that we are all imperfect beings that make up the great circle we call life. We all have purpose…we all contribute whether we realize it or not, we all have a place. So own your Truth, process the emotions you have and the reasons they are there so that you can move forward in positives.

Turtles remind us that what we need is provided for us, that we need to remember the beginning, the simple and honor all that is Sacred, for it is part of who we all are. Be humble, grateful and make the most of what we have and what we are offered.

Within the Seven Grandfather Teachings the Turtle was present to ensure that the laws would never be lost or forgotten. On the back of a Turtle are the 13 moon, each representing the truth of one cycle of the Earth’s rotations around the sun. The 28 markings on her back represent the cycle of the moon an of a woman’s body. The shell of the Turtle represents the body real events as created by the Higher Power, and serves as a reminder of the Creator’s will and teachings.

TRUTH is to know all of these things. Be true to yourself and your fellow man. Be able to speak the truth. This is considered the final and last teaching because to live this teaching, one must achieve and understand the first six teachings. By being honest with those around you with your feelings and behaviors; by loving yourself and others; by respecting others with what they say and do; by being humble – knowing that everyone around you deserves your respect as you theirs; by being brave when facing new challenges and by accepting your own and others wisdom.
