Spiritual and Totem Insights for the Day the Puffin

So today the Puffin sticks it’s brightly colored head into focus to tell us to be mindful of our relationships with ourselves and others. It’s all about remembering to balance ourselves, not jumping to conclusions prior to viewing and listening to the entire story. Today is all about empowering ourselves to do the right thing, take time for self to balance, heal in order to move ahead in life by taking positive steps.

So today try and stay focused on the important aspects of your life and don’t focus on the small things… see the light through the darkness!

Puffins are at home in the water, a little unbalanced as they maneuver on land or try to fly. Being out of their comfort zone of water they show how it is difficult to sometimes balance situations and self as we come head to head with lifes challenges. When Puffins shows up it means it is a time of self refection and prayer…meditations. They are amazing creatures that can share with us lessons to be more insightful with ourselves, children and other relationships we may have.

Because of how Puffins raise their young they teach us about how to understand what we may see as parental abandonment may simply mean we need to strengthen our own abilities without using a crutch of sorts. They teach us about lifetime commitments and responsibilities, and they teach us to see the light through the darkness. Puffins usually leave their young to dive off the rocks and into the ocean for food. They teach us about parenthood and assisting our children with the skills they will need as they grow and become adults.

May your day be as amazing as you all are!
Blessings to you all…

Spiritual and Totem Insights for Today – the Owl

Owl comes to share some insight for our day, by reminding us to look deeper at things before jumping in or voicing our opinion. Sometimes we learn more about ourselves and life when we take a beat to possibly think outside of the box and remember there are more than one way or our way of seeing things.

It is important to do this so that we grow with new life experiences that will perhaps make us stronger, wiser and more compassionate people. So before you make a decisions to speak or do something that may be really important down the road… open your eyes wide and take everything in before doing so.

Owl brings both Magical and Spiritual energies with it’s presence… always Sacred to me, and to be revered by all. The Owl speaks to us of knowledge and answers that as Human we often are looking for.

Owl suggests to us that what we do not realize is often the answers we are the seeking, is actually the journey itself. If we will but slow down and open or eyes so that our vision can see the slightest movement, our ears can hear even the quietest whisper and our minds process the life we are indeed walking, we would actually come to understand that the process of our walk, our Life, our very path is the answer. Once we can accept that, we can then begin to balance our Sacred Hoops so that they resonate in positives allowing healing, joy, acceptance, happiness over the fact that we ARE. That we CAN… and bring our dreams into reality.

The Owl shares with us the Great Mystery and all that is to be understood in life as we walk the human path. Teaching us to be open and see with wonderment the life that is around us, interacting with us, sharing with us, part of us, even in the smallest of ways. In return showing us how we can impact it all in return. To keep our eyes open in even in what we may perceive as dark times, for that glimmer of hope and light to shine through.

Remember to fly beyond and look at the larger picture so better to plan ahead how to approach situations, people or the journey itself. It teaches us to use our intuition and deep connections with wisdom that has been seeded deep within our souls.

If he has showed up in your life today… perhaps you need to look closer for the hidden truths.

Blessings to You All,

Spiritual and Totem Insights for Today – Grandfather Sun

Today Grandfather Sun has an important reminder for us all… we need to take time to allow good things to grow, have patience even when we do not understand what is happening or why. There is always a Universal plan in place. Take pause to feel the breeze on your skin, look to the sky and understand even though you may not see the Sun he is still there. Just like answers we are searching for… we may not see them right away, but they are there.

Having Faith in the Universe sometimes isn’t as hard as having Faith in one’s self. So remember we are all worthy, we all have abilities, we all have time to make right choices, we all can give and feel compassion, respect and use events in our lives as teaching moments. So stop and take a breath, and then be a positive in a rather negative world.

Grandfather Suns’ healing rays can gently warm our sore muscles and bones, reminding us to be grateful for the miracles of life… or it can be brutal and harsh showing us that we must care responsibly for life itself. Careful to shield ourselves from negatives of the world around us. Whatever the case may be as we continue our daily walks… take a moment to rejoice and soak up some energy today … as Grandfather shouts to us, “Hoka Hey Life is Good… Life is Sacred!”

Grandfather Sun is very important to all of us. The sun has been looked upon as the giver of light, heat, welcomed by the crops that are planted and all of the Plant People and bring about growth. The rays of the sun also represent the cardinal directions, North, South, East and West..

So as it enters our space here today and in days to come, Grandfather Sun brings with him the Creator’s Healing Grace. He shines and sends shadows and negativity away. The warmth it provides us is like a mother’s hug wrapping around us to say everything is gonna be alright.

Today have a bit of faith, open your hearts to experience the good in the world and let the shadows of negativity dissipate from the light of your soul. Feel what is strong and powerful in your selves and let that positive shine for the world to see. Allow your growth to continue, experience the strength from within that we all have, that although it may be being tested at the moment, still has what is needed to get through it all.

Breathe and feel his fingers upon your faces as Grandfather Sun freely gives us the power he provides unconditionally. Enjoy your day and don’t let dark clouds detour you from your goals!

It is not enough merely to learn the ways of our Elders. We must honor those traditions by sharing and educating the World. Inspiring others …Inspiring our Youth. Somewhere Over the Rainbow as shared by bear Medicinewalker

So yeah been awhile since I have been on a computer, but as some of you may or may not have known I took a fall mid January. Due to a degenerative spine issue I have had since I was around 16 the incident caused some major issues that continued to get worse as time moved forward. Also during this time my beloved Boone, an Australian Cattle Dog that I had for 18 years decided it was his time to leave this place on his own terms and crossed over February 19th, 2019. Which was followed by an E.R. visit for me due to pain and I couldn’t walk. So to say it has been a rough few months is an understatement. Thank God for my amazing family and friends that have been here for me and all the prayers and healings that have been put up as well.

So writing this is much later than I would have liked to, but it is still very important that people understand a few things about life and “Spirit” in general. Back on January 8th a few days before my birthday actually, I received a note from a Son from another Mother across the pond. We have never met in person, but as with many of my friends we are connected none the less. He has done my radio show and I just admire him dearly. I am sharing what he wrote me, because it was to me… but I want you to understand the point I am trying to make to you all who wonder, or feel they are not being heard by a higher power. The following is what he wrote to me…

“Hi there Bear i so hope you have had an amazing Christmas time and a wonderful start to this blessed new year .. now i have something rather strange to share with you …well you might find it strange ..i know i do …so ..i am sat or have just been sitting enjoying a wonderful meditation, and just as the meditation was coming to an end and i was starting to make myself aware of my surroundings once more ..i was aware of a gentleman’s energy rush in really quickly but it was very gentle …i wasn’t aware of what he looked like or anything about him ..i was only aware of his energy ..then just before his energy went i heard a song play which was strange ..it was this exact song by this exact man who is singing it ..i will send a link to the song after i send you this message … i thought this strange after his energy went ..but then i heard my guide say to me ”it’s for bear” and he showed me your face so i knew it was for you …very strange indeed and soo soo soo sorry for the big long message ..i hope you can make sense of it and god bless your wonderful self and amazing family xx”

So immediately I knew who the gentleman was, it was my father. I knew because number one it was one of our favorite songs together…. and the version Ryan was referring to was my favorite version. It came from Ryan so I would pay attention to it for I seldom ask those in the field for readings, yet I had many questions I had been asking the Universe, Creator for a response to help me with what lies ahead. One of them had been about figuring solutions for Boone, the last thing I wanted was to stress him out in the truck to take him to the vet for the last time, he was blind and deaf and would go into a seizure anytime I had tried to take him for a ride, something he loved to do for 16 years. I wanted him to pass at home, and I knew the time was getting near. So I asked for a sign…

I had many other things I was struggling with, I was at a place in my life I simple told a few of my closest friends, I was tired… tired of constant pain, struggling cause I cant hold a regular job due to my physical condition, and just things in general… I was tired(Still recovering from tired 😉 ). I am not saying suicidal please know that, never would be, but I get it truly do… but I just wanted direction. So like a couple other times in my life, I guess I wasn’t hearing the answers clearly so the proverbial 2 x 4 was taken to my life and everything cleared out again in a way. And this time as with the others, everything in my life came to a complete and sudden halt!

The night Boone passed I spoke to Lynn Lewis, who is a Sister to me…and said I need help… Boone was wrapped in my hallway, and I was flat on my back unable to move. We were in the middle of an ice storm… she came the very next day no question. My neighbor came down and they took Boone’s remains to vet for cremation. My daughter knew what was going on and continually called checking in… and Julie Sullivan did the same even though she was ill at the time with vertigo. Life sucks sometimes, but sometimes we have to stop and ask for the help, and then sometimes even harder is accepting it.

The other thing I told a few people who included my daughter was I kept seeing my Granny before and after I came home from the hospital. When she had been alive we were very close, so I knew she was watching over me…but then the message changed up and she was telling me oh uh-uh you still have many things to do so you ain’t going anywhere. She told me that many times, it scared my daughter… and it scared my friend Lynn. (No wasn’t and drugs making me hallucinate, don’t take any of those kinds o drugs they only make me sicker). For me it was simply sleep and a lot of it. I have only recently this past weekend been able to walk a bit and make it to the other room and actually sit for about an hour…but then it is back to sleep. I have a way to go yet, but am getting there. Walking more and more around the house, finally without the walker. The Healthcare staff that has helped me Kymm, Lisa, Mike from x ray, Steve from Maintenance, Nic, Steph and Molly I love you guys so much for knowing exactly what had to be done for me, I love you all so much for the assist and don’t say it’s just your job, cause to me it is not just your job.

So the point of it all is to tell Ryan your gifts are many and great, to all never think that something you do for someone is just small because for the person you are doing it for, or listening to you may be a lifeline. Last but not least…. for those that think Spirit does not hear us, or watch over us… my belief is you are wrong, for they do hear us, they do watch over us, for some of us we are even lucky enough to see them. The message Ryan sent me was spot on…the Rainbow my Dad showed me was for me to know Boone would soon travel as I asked… to my Mom who i Asked to come and get him …help him cross, his demise began mid day on her birthday …. then passing in my arms.

So ask Spirit, Creator, the Universe however you choose but Dare to Dream knowing that you will be heard. Be thankful to all the people you come in contact with good, bad and indifferent, for they all have things to share and teach us in their own way.

I love and thank you All… especially my Granny, My Pops, my Mom, Lynn, Diana, Denise, Julie and my beautiful daughter Taylor to infinity and beyond…..

Spiritual and Totem Insight for the Day the Salmon

So this day the Salmon comes into view as it shares us lessons of sometimes we need to go with the flow and at other times we need to go against the current in order to find our truths our balance! We do not need to be like every one else just because it may be the popular thing at the moment rather we need to remember who we are and the good foundations that we come from. Time to step up and remember what is right and what is not right, instead of being led like sheep through our days.

Salmon brings with today’s lessons family values and connections with our communities and friends that are in and around our lives. Reach out and strengthen the ones that are staying, let loose with love the ones that are not, and be in the moment with those that are balanced. So today the Coho Salmon want us to listen to the little voice that resides in each of us and follow the path of positives that bring us back to our family and foundations.

Coho Salmon bring to our lives and teach us ways of abundance, fertility, prosperity and renewal of both the physical and spiritual. Guiding us with transformation, intuition, instinct, and urging us to examine your life considering any of the obstacles we may have on our paths as we walk forward.

Coho Salmon teaches us that the most valuable and sacred things in life must be fought for. Although it may seem the odds are impossible and the struggles have worn you out, your needs, goals and dreams are near, and that the most resistance normally occurs just before we succeed. So do not stop and give up now. This is not time to go with the flow today… ignore what outside pressures are placing on you and go with your own intuition, follow your instincts they will not fail you.

Like the Coho Salmon we also go through several transitions throughout our lives, so remember if you are feeling stuck it may be time to transition into newness of self, leaving what is not needed anymore behind. Return to your Soul’s intent, feel the Sacred of you and honor that as you push ahead to reach your goals.

Enjoy the life we are here to live and experience, honoring the Sacred within! Our spirits have been given the energy to renew and transform…so take hold of our own power that comes from deep within our core! allow the abundance and fertility of ideas and creativity to blossom into positives your life… your path, your journey has been acknowledged and listen to the sacred from within and around your life and allow it to push you into the positive steps of life!

“I am Dedicated to Educating and sharing Culture with the World. It is not enough merely to teach the ways of our Elders. We must honor those traditions by sharing and educating the World. Inspiring others …Inspiring our Youth. Through the Music… the Arts…the stories…”
Many Blessings of the Day

Spiritual and Totem Insights of the Day the Medicine Wheel or Circle

So this work week starts out with the Medicine Wheel and it is all about attaining personal balance! It is time to place our own selves into positive perspectives and balance. The energy we must gravitate to and harness is available to us, we just have to want to work with it.

The world around all of us churns in negatives and chaos, but we must remove ourselves from that state of mind and feed our souls things that will help us grow as humans in ways that will be positive and life fulfilling. So reach out and grab onto positive things, act instead of reacting, teach the right way of things instead of being angry, and most of all be able to look deep inside and see our flaws and arrogance at the things we are perhaps being driven by ego to do or say, instead understand we all need to reconnect as human and understand that we are all different with different perspectives of life to contribute.

So remember the circle represents life ever changing ever evolving… no beginning, no end rather growth and cycles that we must learn and carry forward in balance. We have a Spiritual Self, a Physical Self, an Emotional and Mental Self, and all of it combines to create our Human Self. So let’s remember to balance that in order to be our Best Selves!

So the Circle has meant similar things to many various cultures throughout time and continues to do so. So no matter what culture we are standing in, what Spiritual Side we utilize in our lives, we are more alike than perhaps many are willing to admit.

Whether it is the Winged Ones, the Four Leggeds, the Plant People, the Crystal and Rock Keepers, the Swimmers or Creepers we all evolve together in the harmony that we were born to. The four lines in the Wheel speak to us of the four directions, the four colors to the cultures and the four parts of our human, the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual being. To understand the Medicine Wheel is to understand self.

This is what we need to understand, that the strengths, the creative, the spiritual, the faults, the imperfections all lie with in each of us. They are all part of who we are, constantly evolving. As a wheel is circular and continues in a constant state of birth to death constantly moving through change, so are we. To understand that about ourselves is how we are to attain balance.

To understand that we are All Connected that we All imprint on the world, the energy that we exist in is to understand the nature of how things co-exist. That there has to be opposites for balance…light and dark. rain and heat, night and day, birth and death… All a intricate part of the Human experience.

Ask yourself what is it that you need to day to add to the positives in your own life, what is it you need in order to set your mind to in order to keep the negative at bay? So today, look to yourself and think about how each word, each action, each breath you take is part of a bigger Hoop, then think what it is You need to do to put your own Circles into a place of balance with all that is Sacred honoring who you are meant to be.

Many Blessings to You All,

A Time of the Wolf Moon as shared by bear Medicinewalker

Well again the time of the Wolf Moon has came around …and as we get set for the amazing energy it brings it is once again time for the story that I was told that goes with this Moon Cycle. Please feel free to share it.

It was a time of the Wolf Moon ( Wa Ya sv`no`yi`e`hi`nv`do), when a young Zuni Maiden was headed back to her home after gathering water from the nearby river, when the Navajo who were noted for their quick raids and fearless ways swept her up and carried her off. She silently watched as her village and fields burned and slowly became little more than a puff of smoke to her eyes. Her heart was shattered, and tears ran down her face.

They rode for what seemed like endless days and nights, with her tied tightly to the back of a horse. Every muscle on her cried out as each step of the horses hooves hit the ground. At daybreak, they came to a dwelling and she was dumped onto the ground in front of a group of Navajo Women. They helped her to her feet and took her into a nearby dwelling. She collapsed into a darkened corner and slept all day.

She was awakened by the sound of the Navajo Man as he entered and appeared before her. He reached down and pulled at her clothing. Her eyes pleaded with him, and then looked towards the other women as they reached and took their blankets and went out into the night. Thinking she had all but shed the last of her tears, more began to flow. It was to be a long night.

This continued for many days and nights until one morning she woke early to see the face of the Navajo Woman crouching near her. Gently holding out her hand she grasped the young Zuni maidens in her own. Then handing her a blanket and a pouch of food, she took her to doorway where she pointed to the rising sun. The young Zuni Maiden reached within herself and gathered all the strength she had and ran as fast as her legs could carry her. She ran through brush, over stones, through water and sand. She reached a high spot and turned to look . No one was following her. No one had found her.

Her large eyes looked out as she searched the terrain wondering where she was. The wind howled around her as she sat to rest and eat what little that she had been given and then laid down under the tree line to sleep. Pulling the blanket around her to keep her warm her body gave a small shudder, snow was beginning to fall. Soon her weary body fell into a deep sleep.

As the cold winds brewed across the lands, the sounds of paws crunching through the fresh fallen snow could be heard. Coming upon the small form of the Maiden, a White Wolf bent towards her and sniffed, its silvery blue eyes glinting in the night. Raising its head it released a howl to be sent out to the winds to its pack. The maiden woke with fear, afraid to move as the White Wolf stood over her.

Soon more wolves arrived dragging the lifeless body of a recent kill and pulling it towards the White Wolf. In turn It reached down and pulled it over to the young Maiden, covering it over her for added warmth. Then with a glance he commanded the pack to lay beside her, gently warming her body in the cold winter night. The wolf then encouraged her to eat form the kill as he nudged its share to her. She ate and her body began to replenish itself.

Soon the morning light shone through the trees, and the day looked brighter. Disheveled, and her body covered in blood, the cold biting into her skin, the Young Maiden began her journey once again to return to her village. At the end of the day, she fell exhausted to the ground. Crying out in pain and frustration as her body hit the earth. Tears once again ran down her cheeks, turning to ice before they could fall any further. Once again a howl could be heard across the winds and soon the White Wolf returned by her side. It could hardly be seen as it moved towards her, its white fur blending with the snow. Reaching again with its paws and encircling its fur and sharing its warmth with her. Looking towards the moon, letting out a howl to the pack calling to them so they could add their warmth to their young charge. Soon they all slept.

Together they traveled for four more days. At daybreak upon the fifth day, the Wolf nudged to the young Maiden and looked in the direction of a distant village. Her feet ran numb to the pain they held, as she got closer to the tiny village. Next to her keeping pace was the White Wolf. Soon she began to see some people of her village, calling out to them and waving, she yelled her name. They all stood silently watching as she approached. Her joy suddenly turned to fear as she soon saw them lifting their bows towards her and pointing them at the White Wolf that ran by her side.

“No do not shoot this White Wolf! It is my protector and has brought me home!” She stopped standing at the entrance to the village, the White Wolf quickly turned and ran back towards which way they had come. The Wolf had gone. She collapsed at the men’s feet.

They carried her to her family’s lodge and left her on the cold bare floor. They left her there without uttering a word. Lying on the floor next to her was her Mother and Father. She called out to them and they did not respond. The cold Winter’s wind screamed through the walls, swirling a dusting of snow around them all. With that she realized that the winds of life had long since left their bodies. She looked around her and the lodge was bare. She had come home to an empty place of death. She called out and no one answered. She was not a traitor to her people, she had been taken from them. She cried out in pain from a place deep within herself. Yet the people would not speak with her, and left her alone.

With the tender loving hands, she dug into the earth until her fingers were worn and bloody to reach the Yucca Root. So she could make the soap that would lovingly clean her parents and prepare them for burial. She adjusted their clothing and one by one she placed them on the tiny blanket and dragged them through the village to the place of the burial grounds. Once again the people watched, stared and said nothing. No one making an attempt to help her.

Leaving their bodies upon the Cliffs of Death, she sang the death song, chanting for their spirits to be taken to the Grandmother’s and Grandfather’s of the Sacred Directions. Lighting a small sacred fire, she then placed the burial bowls beside them with cornmeal borrowed from others to help in the souls safe journey. She then returned to her lodge. Empty as it was, it was home. Sometimes food was left at the door during the night.

The adults of the village did not speak to her, yet as days passed, the young people of the tribe would come and visit. Asking her to tell the story of the White Wolf. So she went about her simple life each moment, sharing the strength and unconditional love that was shared with her by a wolf with all children that sought her out wanting to learn. Sharing with them stories and encouraging them to relish in their freedom and spirit, and in turn becoming a teacher to them all.

Years passed and with it time brought age, age brought weakness, and soon it was time for her to leave the village and go to the place of death. In her heart she new she would never be taken, that she must take herself. She prepared herself, cleansing herself and putting on her worn leather dress.

She made her way through her door and onto the path that led to the burial site. The people watched as she crawled and pulled her frail self up the hill. Her eyes were filled with strength and dignity. She turned her head sensing something, and her ears heard a loud howling across the lands. She raised her voice and returned the howl. It was a howl of freedom that flowed from her, and as it did she transformed into that of a White Wolf. Gaining strength in her legs her eyes shone in the darkness as she ran across the hills to her freedom.

Today there is still seen a Woman with White flowing hair that stands a top White Woman Canyon even today. Having been seen to change before your eyes into a White Wolf. Helping others to find home, restore faith and find their own personal freedom. Listen to your Spirit form within you, and let it breathe and allow yourself to be who you are meant to be.

“I am Dedicated to Educating and sharing culture with the World. It is not enough merely to teach the ways of our Elders. We must honor those traditions by sharing and educating the World. Inspiring others …Inspiring our Youth. Through the Music… the Arts…the stories…”
Blessings!
