Spiritual and Totem Insights the Badger

Badger shows itself in the seventh spot as it tells us to stand our ground even when things seem a bit overwhelming. We can handle it, sometimes we just might have to take a breathe. Badger says bring about the changes you need to evolve into a more positive you, thus opening doorways and windows of opportunity that will propel us in the right ways by not getting caught up in all the negativity that is out in the world around us today.

Badger also speaks to checking in with allies to validate your choices when in doubt. So live life to the fullest today ad keep an eye on the prize!

Badger also reminds us that guilt is a human factor that for some crazy reason even if we don’t need to hold on to it, we do. So time to release it, fix it, apologize for it…. whatever it takes to re-balance ourselves in positive manners!

Badger shows up reminding us that we all must trust in our abilities utilize them to take on challenges that show up in our journeys. It is time to step away from our hiding places we have created and show the world what we are made of. Remember what is important to us and who we are as unique individuals that have a place in this world.

The message Badger brings is loud and clear… walk your own path to the beat of your own drum. Have faith in yourself and your talents and abilities. Know that you handle any challenge that shows up. Who cares what others say. Come out from hiding and start taking names and numbers.

Aggressiveness and the willingness to fight for what you want in this life and that is what Badger has to teach us. Just how to temper it and apply the right kid of pressure when needed and when to make a stand. Badger teaches us to use our healing abilities to push forward in positives in life and to aggressively move the obstacles that are in our way even if we are the ones that have placed them there.

The Story of the Salmon

A young girl, who was daughter to the chief sat crying. She cried because no one could give her what she wanted, a great shining fish. Neither her father, nor the wisest elders of the clan could give her the great shining fish, none of them had ever even seen such a fish. As his daughter continued to cry they soon discovered that she was making herself very ill, and soon because of it, the chief ordered a great council fire to be gathered.

All of the tribal elders and medicine people sat around the fire as the most respected of them began to speak. “The child cries for a thing which she has seen in her dream walks. Many fish have we in our great waters, but none resemble the one of which she speaks. This fish may prove to be good medicine for our tribe that is being sent by our Creator. He looked at those gathered around the fire, “Perhaps one of you may know where such a great gleaming strong fish with such medicine may be found.”

Only one of them stood turning to address his Chief and the council,”The Raven, who lives among the cedars, is my good friend. She is very wise and knows many things that the wisest among us know not. Allow me to return with her to this Council Fire, in order for her to share her wisdoms.”
They all agreed to this and the chief gave his permission. Soon the warrior gathered his things and traveled to the cedars to find his wise friend. Raven seated on his shoulder began to speak, but only the ones of true medicine could follow her words. “What the girl is asking for is the giant fish, known as Salmon. In this full moon, they can be found far from here at the mouth of a mighty river, which flows into the other side of the lakes here.. Because those of your clan are considered friends, I will fly swift and far to gather one of these fish and return it to your village.”

Before the counsel could thank her, the Raven was high in the air flying far and fast until her keen eyes saw far beneath her, many Salmon swimming together at the mouth of the river. The Raven dived quick as a hawk and, by chance caught the little son of the Salmon Chief in his talons. Rising high in the air, with the fish held firmly in her claws, the Raven flew toward the distant village of her friends.
Salmon Scouts that were leaping high from the water in great flashing arcs, saw the direction that the Raven was flying. A school of Salmon, led by their chief soon began to swim rapidly in pursuit. As quickly as the fish swam, the fast-flying raven reached the village far ahead of them where Raven placed the great fish before the little daughter of the chief, she smiled, and cried no more.

Then the Raven told the clan that many Salmon would be sure to swim into the river to the village in pursuit, to try and rescue the young Salmon which he had caught. They all decided to have the people of the clan to weave a huge net. This they did quickly so that when the Salmon came, all of the fish were caught in it. To hold them prisoner, a long, strong leather thong was passed through their gills. One end of the thong was tied to a big rock and the other end was fastened to this great totem pole, which then grew as a tall cedar.

Ever since, it has been called the ‘Nhe-is-bik’, or tethering pole. On this pole – a totem pole – there was carved a mighty Thunderbird, an Indian Chief, a Raven and a Salmon, carved in that order from the top of the great cedar pole. Year after year, from that time, the Salmon have passed on that side of the river and continue to this day. They are held as sacred with the people and the story continues to be shared.

Spear of Destiny

The Spear of Destiny…
The Holy Lance, the weapon that is believed to have entered the side of Jesus while He was on the cross. Even today there are those that believe it is a holy relic or it holds miraculous power that can heal and much more.

The Roman Centurion Longinus was the one that wielded the spear, and his sight was returned to normal as he had been going blind. After this occurred, he then turned his faith towards Jesus Christ. Later in life he was crucified for those same beliefs. The Spear itself was said to have been handed down to People of Power throughout history. Joseph of Arimathea is said to have then carried it too Britain.

After many hands and many stories, today there are 4 lances that are claimed to be the original Spear. The most popular is the one that is kept in Vienna. They also had this one tested, although some of it came back as being made after Jesus was said to walk on the earth. However, the odd thing was the nail that was also attached to it, was tested and said to have dated back to the correct time period.

So as I channeled this painting, what I kept hearing was, it is all a matter of Faith. So as this painting continued to change and emerge, it finally made sense. No matter what a person believes, it is all a matter of Faith to accept the positives, to ask for help from Creator God, to have healing occur. It represents what we all need as human, some sort of evidence that these miracles are real, that we all can be healed, that we are worthy of all of it.

So, as you sit during your day, allow yourselves to heal, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Remind yourselves you are worthy of good things, of love and happiness. Also know that we have to add some work to it and sometimes that work can be difficult. Sometimes life strikes so hard we get knocked down. When that happens … get UP, and begin remembering we are people, human beings that are here to experience what life is all about. But how we react will become our own destiny. It is all up to us what direction it takes us.

Blessings this Holliday Season to All,

Today I share Ancient Wisdoms

We are more than just a simple being, we are an accumulation of bloodlines that reach back into time and before time.  With each lifetime of experiences having been stitched into our very DNA. Memories of lifetimes that assist us to continue walking the paths we choose to walk.  How to unlock it all? Simple, we need to allow our souls to open to what was and what can be.

They are memories and events that keep us all moving forward through the good, the not so good and the indifferent. We are observers of the life that takes shape around us.  We all have free choice and will, so we should choose wisely. Our very souls will resonate whether it is something we should be stepping into or something we should not.  Feel that intuition, that preexisting knowledge that each of us have at birth. Each moment we are adding to that collective of generational experiences.

We are followed by our past shadows of life; all we need to do is allow the spark to ignite and spread like wildfire pulsing through our souls. Our Ancestors lived before us, each making it an imprint for us to become stronger, more aware so we can indeed live our best life possible.

Blessings,

What the Polar Bear Teaches Us!

The Polar Bear shares that it is time to dig deep within your self and balance your Sacred Hoop. Discard what is no longer needed so that you may move ahead on your path in a positive way. Polar Bears are all about the Winter which relates to nurturing self, taking time to feed your soul and examine what is needed for us to take steps forward to survive and flourish in a healthy manner.

Polar Bear steps in to show us all how strong we can be as we face life’s challenges that are thrown at us from time to time. It is time to stand up and show that strength in the dark corners of our life and take ownership of the light that needs to shine from within. Helping to guide us between our human walk and our connections to spirit.

Polar Bear tells us to clean out our dens of unwanted and unneeded energies that are no longer healthy for us. creating for us in that process a renewal of Spirit and thought and putting us back to balancing our Sacred Hoops. We need to remember we are responsible for self and are the only ones that can set ourselves to that place of balance and positives. In a sense we are the masters of our own Universe… so own that …empower yourself …. and love yourself… if we can understand and attain that we will allow other positives into our life with that alignment.

Many Blessings,

the Wolf as a Teacher and Totem

Wolf is a very organized creature. It understands there is need for order and balance for harmony to occur with our Sacred Hoops. Wolf is regarded as one of the most powerful spirit guides of all for it represents teacher and lessons to be learned and shared with self. It speaks to us to seek counsel from people that you respect. To take a moment to step back and look for the true meaning from the issue you face. By doing so, you will be able to walk clearly ahead and do what needs to be done with the knowledge you can see it all clearly.

Although many think the site of a lone Wolf means freedom but it does not. It instead represents that it is a time to look deep in oneself and find the balance that is needed in your own life that is lacking. For the wolf is meant to be in packs, in a community, in a family, with its mate. The times you see wolves on their own or isolated is do to unbalance that needs to reground and once again be in the circle of the Sacred Hoop.

The Wolf cry reminds us to stand our ground, remember we all need boundaries. It is about communication, answering the call and listening to the response. The Wolf an assist us to open and listen to the sound of others in order to understand better the situation. It is about having the strength of the pack, and your closest friends with you when you need them without questions.

Wolf is strongly connected to lunar cycles, so learn to move with that cycle and honor it in order to be at your best. They teach us to weed out what is the weakest and no longer serves us, so that new and better things will come our way.

Spiritual and Totem Insights Tobacco

So today the card that drops in the seventh spot is Tobacco! Today is about the Blessings we receive and more importantly the Blessings we share. Yes you read that correctly, the Blessings we share with others. In order to attain balance in our lives we must always remember the balance is all about giving to the life around us.

We continually take from the Great Mother Earth and she gives freely. But we must also return her Blessings for looking out for the next seven generations to come. Tobacco is a way that many cultures use as offering the thanks for all we have in our lives, and sometimes we simply have to make ourselves a little more aware. We all need to focus on the positives and stop feeding the negatives. Why waist the energy?

This is something I have actually watched as it expands. People constantly sniping at others that have made negative remarks, acted in a negative way… and yet what people often do is to respond negatively back. Thus we are wasting energy and feeding the negatives. Ignore them and save the energy for something more worthy. I say this because feeding the negatives cause us to go sorta dark, or depressed, angry and leads us to put out more negatives. Just let it go it is not worth spending your energy, it’s a waste that depletes positives from our lives in acting out towards negativity..

Tobacco works with our minds, in order to clear the negative thoughts and replace them with thanks for all the blessings in our lives.

Tobacco is the sacred herb of the East, the direction of Grandfather Sun, Eagle, and the Creator. We send our prayers up in its smoke, and Eagle takes them to the Creator. Tobacco is sacred, therefore it is to be respected and comes with responsibility to use it properly. It is both a powerful tool of healing and honoring our spirit and our Ancestors that walked before us.

The Anishinaabe use a form of Tobacco known as kinikinik, or a red willow mix. Because it opens the door to the Creator, When Tobacco is used to make smoke, it is one of the most sacred of plants for Native people. Tobacco is also one of the four sacred plants. It represents the Eastern Direction and the mind.

The Elders say that tobacco is used to connect the Spirit World as the plant’s very roots penetrate deeply into the the Great Mother Earth, and its smoke rises high into the sky to reach the Creator’s gaze. This plant is highly respected and highly honored. The gifting of tobacco is a beautiful way the people show respect and honor to others. Ceremonies using tobacco invokes a connection to universal energies and to the Creator, a connection made between earthly and spiritual realms is to be considered sacred.

Prayer, Offerings, Purification and Respect… remember these for meanings as you use the Sacred Tobacco plant.

Blessings of the Day and Beyond to you All!
