Let’s Talk About Parrots and What They Teach Us

Parrot’s bring many amazing teachings with them and today’s is also about loving self and opening our hearts to others. We all have purpose and even though those purposes may be different it does not mean they are not also important to the way the world functions. So today take it all in and enjoy learning about the differences and how they an positively impact us in new and fun ways! Enjoy!!!!

So today the Parrot tells us to use our voice, our communication to reach out and learn how, remember how, feel how to be human again! My dear friends Robin and Vince Cesario have a beautiful Sun Conure Parrot… and actually the painting of JoJo is where this card was created from…and this little bird has a great lesson and that is LOVE. He is so filled with love for his human family! If only as humans we could remember that each moment of each day and set aside the ugly in our world to reconnect with the good that is in each of us.

Parrot wants us to remember is that actions, deeds, words are mimicked by those around you. What we often fail to remember is that we are responsible for setting the tone or mood for the world around us. If we are confident and pleasant… things will reflect that in our daily walks. If we are negative and bitter our world becomes shaded and chaotic… full of negatives that spread like a disease. So be mindful of the imprints we all leave on the world around us today, and be a more positive part of it not only for yourself but for others as well.

Parrot assists us in seeing that possibilities are endless as we walk the human. Sharing with us that we need to open ourselves up and communicate with the world around us. The Parrot teaches us to look at situations and opinions that are different than yours. It is all about hearing what we are listening to so that we may learn what we can accomplish, what we are capable of. To go outside of our boundaries of what we may right now consider normal. Because different, extraordinary may just be our New Normal!

Parrot brings us reminders about what is in the power of Father Sun and the healing energy that is offered. They share with us the understanding that will help balance and find harmony with all life around us. Aligning our Sacred Hoops with the pure joy and magic of all things possible.

The Story of Why the Raven is Black…

This was shared to me by an Elder who asked me if I knew how the Raven became black. since my response was no this is what “Corky” Black Elk Shared with me…and now in turn I share with you..

Long ago, during the very beginning of the world, Gray Eagle was the guardian of the sun, the moon, the stars, fresh water and fire. Gray Eagle hated people so much that he kept these things hidden. The peoples lived in darkness, without fire and without fresh water.

Gray Eagle also had a beautiful daughter, and when Raven saw her he instantly fell in love with her. At that time Raven was a handsome young man so he came up with a plan to change himself into a snow-white bird. As the snow-white bird he pleased Gray Eagle’s daughter and soon she fell madly in love with him. So much so that she invited him to her father’s lodge.

Raven was surprised when he he entered the lodge for he saw the sun ,the moon, the stars and the fresh water hanging on the sides of Gray Eagle’s lodge walls, he knew instantly what he should do, what he had to do. So carefully watching for his chance to seize them when no one was looking, Raven stole all of them along with a spark of fire. Then he flew upward and out of the lodge through a smoke hole above.

As soon as Raven got outside, he hung the sun up in the sky. It created so much light that he was able to fly far out to an island in the middle of the ocean. As soon as the sun set, he fastened the moon up in the sky and hung the stars around in different places. With the moonlight there to help guide him, he continued to fly carrying with him the fresh water and the spark of fire he had stolen. Soon the water fell to the ground and there it became the source of all the freshwater streams and lakes around the world.

Still the Raven flew on holding in his mouth the spark of fire. The smoke from the fire blowing back over his white feathers coating them black. Soon his bill began to burn and he had to drop the fire spark. When it landed and struck the rocks below, it sparked brighter and created fire. That is why even today if you strike two stones together with a stick, it will spark and fire will burn and share its warmth and glow.

Raven’s feathers never became white again after they were blackened by the smoke from carrying the spark of fire.  This is why today the Raven is a black bird.

Spiritual and Totem Insights the Cow

The Cow shows up in the seventh spot today!

Today as Monday unfolds we need to look and be aware of all that is around us, so that we can nurture what is inside of us. The outside chaos can settle in and become part of us quicker than a blink of an eye… but how we process and choose how it may affect us is totally up to us. Outside influence can be totally out of our immediate control, but how and when we respond is not. So respond with gentle kindness to your souls, add prayer and thoughtfulness. Prayer is a powerful thing as many can attest to…but it is about the power and strength in numbers. Heal thy selves, strengthen ourselves, make ourselves aware of where and how we step on our paths.

Understand we can not cure disease in a day, we can not build houses in a day, we can not bring peace in a day. However we can begin the process to heal, begin to solve, imprint the idea, start with one person, one part, one thought, one prayer… a moment that can ignite change that begins at our doorway, from our souls.

With that said we look as Cow steps into the day to teach us about nurturing, self growth and awareness. They share with us their own life force in order to assist us in the highest good. They teach us about patience, nourishment, abundance, the fertility of ideas and the birth of goals and dreams. The Cow shares with us to be calm with our young, to stay grounded, help in providing what is needed in the moment without thought and beginnings.

Cow also tells us to stand our ground when we need to but be firm yet gentle in the process. Take a look at our life and see if perhaps we are being as productive as we should, or perhaps are we being too being stubborn about an issue.

Understand and work with the mundane aspects of the relationships we have in our Sacred Hoops and understand that sometimes we need the mundane, the normal routine in order to enjoy or be able to work through what is not.

Cows are said to possess the magic of the moon, Pay close attention to what is being shared. Trust your instincts; they will alert you to danger or safety of the situations we face.

Spiritual Insights Walks With Bears

So today I was pushed to pull from the New Deck and this Deck uses the Number Three to flip. Today, not because I am bear, rather because this is how we need to walk through our days… the card “Walks With Bears”. This card/painting expresses that in one there is multiple strengths and weaknesses. We need to balance that energy in order to step further on our paths.

We all could use that reminder once in awhile as some times we simply forget that we are more evolved than we give ourselves credit for. So “Walks With Bears” pops in to remind us of just that. We all are capable beings that are multi facetted. Each part of us has been imprinted on by many factors through out or life, whether it be by events, people or things that we have done, it all factors in. It shares with us that we have the things to deal with anything that may arise, we just have to focus on that strength within.

So look in and dig deep into the preverbal toolkits we all have and know that You have Got This! Do not shy away from things you feel you can not do… rather push forward into positives and know you can do whatever you set your mind to do. Do not feed fear or anger, instead let it go to recycle into the Universe to then in turn return as a positive!

Blessings to you All!

Spiritual and Totem Insights the Bat

The energy has shifted once again as the Bat steps into the seventh card today, but in a positive way. It’s like opening the windows in the house to catch the summer breezes. Pushing out the Old and bringing in the New. Bat advises to allow that new energy to refresh all your senses and feel what it is to simply feel free.

Sometimes we attract all sorts of energies unknowingly and they cling to us like wet tar, grasping at us to hold us in a space of being unable to move forward. So listen to your minds eye, your gut and feel that Creator God and the Universe have said new day… new dawn… so become what you need to be today without restriction.!

Bat brings us teachings of perception. It is time to listen to what is not being said. To hear the truth of things, rather than what we may want to believe or what we may mask behind darkness and fear.

We all have an inner voice and we should learn to listen to it, it was given to us for many reasons one of them to help us find balance as we walk the human. Bats teach us to use our other senses to tune in seeing more than just what is seen by our eyes, giving us an advantage and opportunity to be able to walk ahead equipped with all the knowledge we need to be more positive and attain our goals.

Be open and let go of the fear we tend to hold on as change approaches us, the new things that we will allow in doing so will help us to fulfill our dreams and goals. Bat also brings with it the EGO and tells you to set it down so that spiritually you can grow and evolve in all ways that will help you balance within your Sacred Hoop.

Bury and release old habits, old possessions, things that no longer serve for the highest good, and be re birthed into a new knowing and understanding that will not only help to heal yourself but assist you in becoming a better human as you walk your path with all life that is sacred around you.

May you all have a Blessed Day!

Spiritual and Totem Insights Grouse

Seventh card today is the Grouse.  Time to step carefully today as the energy is a bit wonky.  Don’t involve yourself with other people’s drama, instead keep yourself in the background and take the time to work on self.

I find that as of late the energy switches up quickly, tending to throw us into unbalance like one of those rides that toss us around at a carnival, partly due to all the ugliness of the world at the moment. But it is our choice on how we interact or process it.

So Grouse says simply Dance your way through it, stomp your feet and stand in Your Own Power. Don’t allow negativity to have a role in your life. Walk in it, revel in it. For you are an amazing soul that needs to be seen and heard. So leave positive imprints on the people and world around you.

Grouse reminds us of what is Sacred within our own Hoops. It reminds us to stand in our own power, to drum and ground with the great Mother Earth, to experience our own heartbeats of our souls. Speaking to us and whispering that we need to dance and honor our own spirits, allowing the joys that are in life to enter and filling our own Sacred Hoops with the positives that are needed in the moment and beyond.

Grouse dances in circles, speaking to us of cycles that we walk through on our paths, from birth to death transitions and on to rebirth. We all experience these, from the moment we take our first breath, it is called change. So the Grouse asks that we embrace those changes,,, and dance to the drumbeat of your own soul! Stand in your own power, revitalize your spirit, your human… dance and create, manifest what it is that you need to walk a more positive way on your own path. Don’t worry about what others are thinking or doing… concentrate on your own energy as you dance and place yourself in harmony and balance with body, mind and spirit.

Listen and hear as Grouse shares with us today and beats it’s wings and stomps the ground in harmony with all that is Sacred!
Blessings to All,

Spiritual and Totem Insights for the Day the Bear

Bear walks through today in the seventh card placement reminding us that it is time to take care of things… to delve deep and stop standing in self denial. Stop filling the proverbial closets and instead clean them out in order to make way for new things… new opportunities of positives to enter our lives. If we keep adding and collecting clutter of things that no longer serve, or simply don’t release all the yesterdays… we wind up putting roadblocks up that not only keep the light of positives out… but leave us standing in place stagnant and unproductive.

So let’s gather all that is needed to move us forward and the Bear will guide us along with the Ancestors towards more positive goals and enrichments. Dig deep kids …dig deep and prepare for the long winter months ahead!

Bear is all about fertility (creative and manifestation), instinct, protection and solitude. Those that walk with Bear are often somewhat reclusive requiring a great deal of personal space to renew and create. Bear people will often “disconnect” for awhile as they pursue projects becoming deeply involved in what they are working on. Deeply protective and territorial, Bear also is extremely loyal and dependable.

Bear teaches us when healing of any sort is needed to use that time for introspective work in order to grow Spiritually, Emotionally, Mentally and find answers to problems within yourself. Travel deep into your soul find the purpose in your own path and journey and walk ahead in positive steps.

Bear shares with us that in this time hibernation is not only good but needed, yet respect our natural hibernation cycle and remember to reawaken in the spring, in doing so awaken the potential within ourselves and the power of our unconscious mind.

Bear teaches us there is a time for playfulness and a time to be assertive, and perhaps a time for both in balance.
