So this day the Salmon comes into view as it shares us lessons of sometimes we need to go with the flow and at other times we need to go against the current in order to find our truths our balance! We do not need to be like every one else just because it may be the popular thing at the moment rather we need to remember who we are and the good foundations that we come from. Time to step up and remember what is right and what is not right, instead of being led like sheep through our days.
Salmon brings with today’s lessons family values and connections with our communities and friends that are in and around our lives. Reach out and strengthen the ones that are staying, let loose with love the ones that are not, and be in the moment with those that are balanced. So today the Coho Salmon want us to listen to the little voice that resides in each of us and follow the path of positives that bring us back to our family and foundations.
Coho Salmon bring to our lives and teach us ways of abundance, fertility, prosperity and renewal of both the physical and spiritual. Guiding us with transformation, intuition, instinct, and urging us to examine your life considering any of the obstacles we may have on our paths as we walk forward.
Coho Salmon teaches us that the most valuable and sacred things in life must be fought for. Although it may seem the odds are impossible and the struggles have worn you out, your needs, goals and dreams are near, and that the most resistance normally occurs just before we succeed. So do not stop and give up now. This is not time to go with the flow today… ignore what outside pressures are placing on you and go with your own intuition, follow your instincts they will not fail you.
Like the Coho Salmon we also go through several transitions throughout our lives, so remember if you are feeling stuck it may be time to transition into newness of self, leaving what is not needed anymore behind. Return to your Soul’s intent, feel the Sacred of you and honor that as you push ahead to reach your goals.
Enjoy the life we are here to live and experience, honoring the Sacred within! Our spirits have been given the energy to renew and transform…so take hold of our own power that comes from deep within our core! allow the abundance and fertility of ideas and creativity to blossom into positives your life… your path, your journey has been acknowledged and listen to the sacred from within and around your life and allow it to push you into the positive steps of life!
“I am Dedicated to Educating and sharing Culture with the World. It is not enough merely to teach the ways of our Elders. We must honor those traditions by sharing and educating the World. Inspiring others …Inspiring our Youth. Through the Music… the Arts…the stories…” Many Blessings of the Day ~bear Medicinewalker
So this work week starts out with the Medicine Wheel and it is all about attaining personal balance! It is time to place our own selves into positive perspectives and balance. The energy we must gravitate to and harness is available to us, we just have to want to work with it.
The world around all of us churns in negatives and chaos, but we must remove ourselves from that state of mind and feed our souls things that will help us grow as humans in ways that will be positive and life fulfilling. So reach out and grab onto positive things, act instead of reacting, teach the right way of things instead of being angry, and most of all be able to look deep inside and see our flaws and arrogance at the things we are perhaps being driven by ego to do or say, instead understand we all need to reconnect as human and understand that we are all different with different perspectives of life to contribute.
So remember the circle represents life ever changing ever evolving… no beginning, no end rather growth and cycles that we must learn and carry forward in balance. We have a Spiritual Self, a Physical Self, an Emotional and Mental Self, and all of it combines to create our Human Self. So let’s remember to balance that in order to be our Best Selves!
So the Circle has meant similar things to many various cultures throughout time and continues to do so. So no matter what culture we are standing in, what Spiritual Side we utilize in our lives, we are more alike than perhaps many are willing to admit.
Whether it is the Winged Ones, the Four Leggeds, the Plant People, the Crystal and Rock Keepers, the Swimmers or Creepers we all evolve together in the harmony that we were born to. The four lines in the Wheel speak to us of the four directions, the four colors to the cultures and the four parts of our human, the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual being. To understand the Medicine Wheel is to understand self.
This is what we need to understand, that the strengths, the creative, the spiritual, the faults, the imperfections all lie with in each of us. They are all part of who we are, constantly evolving. As a wheel is circular and continues in a constant state of birth to death constantly moving through change, so are we. To understand that about ourselves is how we are to attain balance.
To understand that we are All Connected that we All imprint on the world, the energy that we exist in is to understand the nature of how things co-exist. That there has to be opposites for balance…light and dark. rain and heat, night and day, birth and death… All a intricate part of the Human experience.
Ask yourself what is it that you need to day to add to the positives in your own life, what is it you need in order to set your mind to in order to keep the negative at bay? So today, look to yourself and think about how each word, each action, each breath you take is part of a bigger Hoop, then think what it is You need to do to put your own Circles into a place of balance with all that is Sacred honoring who you are meant to be.
Well again the time of the Wolf Moon has came around …and as we get set for the amazing energy it brings it is once again time for the story that I was told that goes with this Moon Cycle. Please feel free to share it.
It was a time of the Wolf Moon (Â Wa Ya sv`no`yi`e`hi`nv`do), when a young Zuni Maiden was headed back to her home after gathering water from the nearby river, when the Navajo who were noted for their quick raids and fearless ways swept her up and carried her off. She silently watched as her village and fields burned and slowly became little more than a puff of smoke to her eyes. Her heart was shattered, and tears ran down her face.
They rode for what seemed like endless days and nights, with her tied tightly to the back of a horse. Every muscle on her cried out as each step of the horses hooves hit the ground. At daybreak, they came to a dwelling and she was dumped onto the ground in front of a group of Navajo Women. They helped her to her feet and took her into a nearby dwelling. She collapsed into a darkened corner and slept all day.
She was awakened by the sound of the Navajo Man as he entered and appeared before her. He reached down and pulled at her clothing. Her eyes pleaded with him, and then looked towards the other women as they reached and took their blankets and went out into the night. Thinking she had all but shed the last of her tears, more began to flow. It was to be a long night.
This continued for many days and nights until one morning she woke early to see the face of the Navajo Woman crouching near her. Gently holding out her hand she grasped the young Zuni maidens in her own. Then handing her a blanket and a pouch of food, she took her to doorway where she pointed to the rising sun. The young Zuni Maiden reached within herself and gathered all the strength she had and ran as fast as her legs could carry her. She ran through brush, over stones, through water and sand. She reached a high spot and turned to look . No one was following her. No one had found her.
Her large eyes looked out as she searched the terrain wondering where she was. The wind howled around her as she sat to rest and eat what little that she had been given and then laid down under the tree line to sleep. Pulling the blanket around her to keep her warm her body gave a small shudder, snow was beginning to fall. Soon her weary body fell into a deep sleep.
As the cold winds brewed across the lands, the sounds of paws crunching through the fresh fallen snow could be heard. Coming upon the small form of the Maiden, a White Wolf bent towards her and sniffed, its silvery blue eyes glinting in the night. Raising its head it released a howl to be sent out to the winds to its pack. The maiden woke with fear, afraid to move as the White Wolf stood over her.
Soon more wolves arrived dragging the lifeless body of a recent kill and pulling it towards the White Wolf. In turn It reached down and pulled it over to the young Maiden, covering it over her for added warmth. Then with a glance he commanded the pack to lay beside her, gently warming her body in the cold winter night. The wolf then encouraged her to eat form the kill as he nudged its share to her. She ate and her body began to replenish itself.
Soon the morning light shone through the trees, and the day looked brighter. Disheveled, and her body covered in blood, the cold biting into her skin, the Young Maiden began her journey once again to return to her village. At the end of the day, she fell exhausted to the ground. Crying out in pain and frustration as her body hit the earth. Tears once again ran down her cheeks, turning to ice before they could fall any further. Once again a howl could be heard across the winds and soon the White Wolf returned by her side. It could hardly be seen as it moved towards her, its white fur blending with the snow. Reaching again with its paws and encircling its fur and sharing its warmth with her. Looking towards the moon, letting out a howl to the pack calling to them so they could add their warmth to their young charge. Soon they all slept.
Together they traveled for four more days. At daybreak upon the fifth day, the Wolf nudged to the young Maiden and looked in the direction of a distant village. Her feet ran numb to the pain they held, as she got closer to the tiny village. Next to her keeping pace was the White Wolf. Soon she began to see some people of her village, calling out to them and waving, she yelled her name. They all stood silently watching as she approached. Her joy suddenly turned to fear as she soon saw them lifting their bows towards her and pointing them at the White Wolf that ran by her side.
“No do not shoot this White Wolf! It is my protector and has brought me home!” She stopped standing at the entrance to the village, the White Wolf quickly turned and ran back towards which way they had come. The Wolf had gone. She collapsed at the men’s feet.
They carried her to her family’s lodge and left her on the cold bare floor. They left her there without uttering a word. Lying on the floor next to her was her Mother and Father. She called out to them and they did not respond. The cold Winter’s wind screamed through the walls, swirling a dusting of snow around them all. With that she realized that the winds of life had long since left their bodies. She looked around her and the lodge was bare. She had come home to an empty place of death. She called out and no one answered. She was not a traitor to her people, she had been taken from them. She cried out in pain from a place deep within herself. Yet the people would not speak with her, and left her alone.
With the tender loving hands, she dug into the earth until her fingers were worn and bloody to reach the Yucca Root. So she could make the soap that would lovingly clean her parents and prepare them for burial. She adjusted their clothing and one by one she placed them on the tiny blanket and dragged them through the village to the place of the burial grounds. Once again the people watched, stared and said nothing. No one making an attempt to help her.
Leaving their bodies upon the Cliffs of Death, she sang the death song, chanting for their spirits to be taken to the Grandmother’s and Grandfather’s of the Sacred Directions. Lighting a small sacred fire, she then placed the burial bowls beside them with cornmeal borrowed from others to help in the souls safe journey. She then returned to her lodge. Empty as it was, it was home. Sometimes food was left at the door during the night.
The adults of the village did not speak to her, yet as days passed, the young people of the tribe would come and visit. Asking her to tell the story of the White Wolf. So she went about her simple life each moment, sharing the strength and unconditional love that was shared with her by a wolf with all children that sought her out wanting to learn. Sharing with them stories and encouraging them to relish in their freedom and spirit, and in turn becoming a teacher to them all.
Years passed and with it time brought age, age brought weakness, and soon it was time for her to leave the village and go to the place of death. In her heart she new she would never be taken, that she must take herself. She prepared herself, cleansing herself and putting on her worn leather dress.
She made her way through her door and onto the path that led to the burial site. The people watched as she crawled and pulled her frail self up the hill. Her eyes were filled with strength and dignity. She turned her head sensing something, and her ears heard a loud howling across the lands. She raised her voice and returned the howl. It was a howl of freedom that flowed from her, and as it did she transformed into that of a White Wolf. Gaining strength in her legs her eyes shone in the darkness as she ran across the hills to her freedom.
Today there is still seen a Woman with White flowing hair that stands a top White Woman Canyon even today. Having been seen to change before your eyes into a White Wolf. Helping others to find home, restore faith and find their own personal freedom. Listen to your Spirit form within you, and let it breathe and allow yourself to be who you are meant to be.

In the position of the Seventh card today is the Lion! Today is all about stepping into and embracing who you are and what you want to achieve! What is stopping us all from doing just that, what is it that we are afraid of? Lion suggests that we look into that proverbial mirror and own it! We have more strength of character than we give ourselves credit for often forgetting that we are just as important, amazing and capable as another…we simply need to Believe in ourselves!
When we learn to believe… we will truly achieve and live to our fullest potentials! So go ahead and take a step into the positives… go ahead and yell and scream HERE I AM AND I AM AMAZING!!! You have truly got this! Take advantage of the fantastic energy of the day and OWN IT!
Lions bring reminders of inner strength, assertiveness and personal power to the table. They try and warn us to also take hold and control the darker side and bring it to balance so that anger and aggression doesn’t spill over and push us to people or places we do not need to be.
Lions also will make itself known in order to warn about challenges and obstacles that may arise in our lives. Guiding us so that we may be able to deal and cope with courage and insight. Reminding you to walk with self-confidence and take ownership of your personal power. Lions show us that we need to utilize our own strength, courage and assertiveness to get ahead of the situation.
Lions also teach us that we can indeed be leaders but have to be careful not to dominate everything in our relationships at home or work. Find a balance that works and things will be healthier and more positive for you and those in your Sacred Circles. Just remember to temper any anger or negative feelings that arise…
Lions the embodiment of Strength …Courage… and Empowerment!
Wishing you all many blessings this Holiday Season and Beyond! ~ bear Medicinewalker
“Snow Falling In Silence” from Wolf Moon Rising by Wolfsheart.
Duck you say? Duck???? really???? What the Duck? Well that is who pops up in the seventh spot today bringing with it a whole lotta wisdom and insight for life as we know it! So if you have ever paid attention to a Duck you would have noticed not much stops them from accomplishing what it is they set out to do. They are very determined and insightful to how to go about things… and more importantly they are determined that no obstacle shall be too big to overcome.
We can learn a lot from these amazing creatures, balance for one thing comes to mind and stop for a moment and think about it… think about how their bodies are put together…heavy front, two legs, and the wings… yet they are buoyant and can manage just fine. they are also fun and carefree at times, especially the ducklings as they follow their siblings and mom learning all about life and wondering at all the bugs they chase.
So today…be a little more carefree about life, learn to balance by allowing what we were born with to assist us, our own imperfections are our perfections! We each are amazing individuals that are unlike any other, we contribute who we are to the world in amazing ways. So let that uniqueness and strengths, weaknesses, beauty shine through your souls for the entire world to see!
Be who you are meant to be in Positives! The world is full of wonder if we only will open our eyes to bear witness to it… embrace it during this holiday season and then carry it through to each and every day!
Duck tells us that sometimes life can be hard… sometimes we would rather just quit than do whatever it is that lies before us. Sometimes it may be people that we are just tired of and want to give up on them….but today Duck says yes the bar may be set high but we need to gather that inner strength and simply push through it. We are not the only ones with issues, we are not free of making mistakes, that is the beauty of life… We ALL have lessons to learn and should remember we are not all the end all of any given situation. So Figure it out, wade through it, wing it, do whatever it takes to take the next step in your life!
Ducks are amazing and they teach us all about balance… and we need balance starting the week off… they are buoyant, they maneuver up and down, in and out and all the way around to meet the task, without complaint. They teach us to keep moving forward, pushing through all the struggles.
Duck is and has been one of my favorite teachers! It speaks to us of diving into your deepest emotions in order to reach a calmer and more peaceful state. They teach us about how to get past adversary and accomplish our goals, sometimes by looking outside of the box to do so. To never stop trying, dreaming, moving ahead with those dreams and goals that you envision. They bring with them the medicine of living for the moment, and living large, loving, laughing.
Think of times in your life, or situations when you aren’t sure how, when. or where… and when you say I just can’t, think of the Ducklings that follow their mama’s no matter how high the step..how deep the dive… how fast they have to run to keep up… they do so without hesitation.
Today the Parrot flips over in the seventh spot from the deck bringing us messages all about communication! Go figure right? Well the important message of today is about how we communicate… when we communicate and know that sometimes communication is all about listening and actually hearing what others are speaking about. Our lives are so busy, many have their noses so far into their phones and computers that they have almost lost touch with how to be with another human! We text and email… with no inflection of voice…no passion for life in words written on a tiny little screen. Well it is time to set technology down for a bit and take time out to reconnect with our human selves. Laugh with each other, smile with each other, hug each other…and above all else talk with each other and hear each others souls speak!
As people we have gotten so caught up in the tech side of things often we do not take time to make connections, and many times we have forgotten. People feel self entitled, they are rude and think of themselves as the center of EVERYONE’S world…well guess what it isn’t a truth we all agree with. If you don’t believe it stop by a high school some day and watch as the kids leave for the day…standing next to each other and texting because they do not know how to communicate any other way! So sad… it causes us to miss out on the warmth of friendships, how to cope with important things, or really …how to even be a caring person.
So today the Parrot tells us to use our voice, our communication to reach out and learn how, remember how, feel how to be human again! My dear friends Robin and Vince Cesario have a beautiful Sun Conure Parrot… and actually the painting of JoJo is where this card was created from…and this little bird has a great lesson and that is LOVE. He is so filled with love for his human family! If only as humans we could remember that each moment of each day and set aside the ugly in our world to reconnect with the good that is in each of us.
Parrot wants us to remember is that actions, deeds, words are mimicked by those around you. What we often fail to remember is that we are responsible for setting the tone or mood for the world around us. If we are confident and pleasant… things will reflect that in our daily walks. If we are negative and bitter our world becomes shaded and chaotic… full of negatives that spread like a disease. So be mindful of the imprints we all leave on the world around us today, and be a more positive part of it not only for yourself but for others as well.
Parrot assists us in seeing that possibilities are endless as we walk the human. Sharing with us that we need to open ourselves up and communicate with the world around us. The Parrot teaches us to look at situations and opinions that are different than yours. It is all about hearing what we are listening to so that we may learn what we can accomplish, what we are capable of. To go outside of our boundaries of what we may right now consider normal. Because different, extraordinary may just be our New Normal!
Parrot brings us reminders about what is in the power of Father Sun and the healing energy that is offered. They share with us the understanding that will help balance and find harmony with all life around us. Aligning our Sacred Hoops with the pure joy and magic of all things possible.
Blessings to you All this Holiday Season and Beyond!

“Christmas Time Is Here” from Gabriel Ayala’s Album by Gabriel Ayala. Released: 2010 available on Itunes and used as part of the Wolf and the bear Network@2018
As the days slip past and the Holidays are upon us, the magic of the Dragonfly brings with it the happiness and joy of this season and beyond! It arrives today in the seventh spot and with it messages of old and new. Sharing the energy of the souls of the past that have walked with us and now come to surround us with love as we remember and miss them all.
The Dragonfly although small is very mighty as it travels the inbetween gathering messages from Spirit and almost appearing magically as if to say here we all are… please do not be sad for we live in a place of no time all time, a place of great love and understanding that as humans you are yet to experience. But as it is not your time yet, we will fill your hearts with love and laughter during the season, for we understand what it is you miss… yet it is something that if you open to it you will feel us as we surround you and remind you all that we continue to be a part of your moments, your days, your time.
Allow the twinkling of the stars, the holiday lights, the sparkle in your eyes to bring comfort and warmth of what the season is truly meant to be…a time of sharing compassion, tolerance, understanding… and most of all love for each other. This is the message of the Dragonfly this day.
Dragonfly is brings us a reminder of all the magic and strength we have within our souls. So today make your day an awesome one by embracing the magical of life that is all around each of us!
Dragonflies are constantly connecting the threads of the dimensions for us, bringing enlightenment from beyond the Veil and back. So it is time for us to pay closer attention for the answers we are seeking we need to be open to in order to hear. And when we listen the Universe responds in kind, helping us to achieve our goals and dreams of a more positive, balanced and fruitful life every day!
Dragonfly represents the link between All that is Sacred! So from this point forward… open your souls to feel, hear and understand the magical connections that we can have if we simply do not place limits on what is!
Dragonfly is all about transformation and adaptability. It is messenger of the in between, of here and there and everywhere at the same time. It is beyond time, before time. It is about darkness to light and back again.
Dragonfly tells us that everything is in a cycle, so remember and allow more joy to fill your soul. To help you understand that all things are as they should be, and that life itself is magical beyond belief. For our souls do not hold form, and our human self just helps them to experience our earth walks before continuing to the next part of our journeys.
Dragonflies begin their lives in water and then as they grow they move into the air learning to fly. It teaches us to balance the present time and accept it so we may once again move forward, listening as Spirit shares with us all the secrets of here and beyond.
May the love that is in my heart find yours and fill it with healing and blessings. May you find peace in your days…
Blessings to You All
